5 Reasons to Support Muslim Businesses

As we all have known, we are continuously doing our part in improving our Islamic economy by firstly by paying Zakat Fitrah. This Zakat Fitrah helps to assist and improve the lives of the 8 Asnaf (Recipents).

On top of that, it is upon those who have the means that is above the Nisab value that they will need to contribute 2.5% of their wealth also known as Zakat Harta (Wealth).

Alhamdulillah, Allah makes everything easy for us and for every action has it's rewards.

But did you know, another way to support the Islamic economy is by Supporting Muslim business?

Here are the top 5 reasons why we should support Muslim Businesses:

1) Avoiding Haram or Mashbooh (Doubtful) Items / Actions
For Muslim F&B owners or deli providers, they strive daily to make a halal living by ensuring no haram or mashbooh (doubtful) ingredients and transactions.

Some Muslim bakeries or cake parlour sells their items at a slightly higher price. This is because halal and high quality ingredients do not come cheap and unavailable in local stores and need to be imported from overseas.

2) Blessed Beginnings & 100% Love
They start their duty whether it is cooking, baking, designing, sewing or massaging with Basmalah (bismillahir rahmaanir rahim). Some even recite the Quran while doing their work. Subhanallah!

Imagine the food or products that we consume made by them!

3) They are constantly finding ways to improve their businesses. Your feedbacks and suggestions are always welcomed!

4) They are honest in their products.

As mentioned in Surah An-Nisaa' ayat 29:
"O you who believe! Eat not up your property among yourselves in vanities; but let there be among you traffic and trade by mutual good-will"

An honest business owner would be transparent in providing details as requested.

**It is also upon us to be wise in choosing the products and  make our effort in doing our research before purchasing the products or engaging the service. You are welcome to ask questions.

5) Supporting Muslim Business = More Zakat or Sadaqah!
More money earn means more giving! You are helping them to help others.

Alhamdulillah on the 3rd of December, my wife and I were invited by the Almighty to visit the 2 holy lands. It was indeed an experience of a lifetime. Plus, another way for us to celebrate our 7th anniversary. Special thanks you Raffles Holiday for the opportunity to lead the congregation for Umrah 2017.

Met lovely people there and many Singaporean Asatizahs like Ustaz Mustaqim from Madrasah Al-Irsyad, Ustaz Shaheedan from Noor Muhammad, Ustaz Nafis Rahman from Masjid Darussalam.

It was a smooth sailing journey for us and the jemaah alhamdulillah.

Sharing our experience in the 2 videos below.

I pray may Allah invite everyone a chance to visit the Haramain soon, insha Allah ameen.

Remember to make du'a for one another,
Mr Ustaz Ho

Assalamualaikum everyone!

So excited to write our first post for Yameen Blogs!

Alhamdulillah it's been a blessed 7 years and we will be turning 8 very soon. (yeay!)
So we thought what better way to welcome 2018 than to introduce a brand new segment on Yameen website.

Through this blog, we will be featuring many lifestyle stories and articles on Faith, Travel, Food (who doesn't love fooood?), Relationships and Family. The best part, we will be inviting guest writers, too! We will be sharing our local Asatizah's hobbies or even hidden talents!

How does Tech Guide by Ustaz Adi Ho sound to you? or Food guide by Ustazah Nisa Rahmad? How 'bout Get Fit with Ustazah Aizah?

They are are not always serious, you know! :D They have their fun moments, too.

We hope 'Yameen Blogs' will be one of many ways for us to get to know each other and get our community closer together, insha Allah!

Till our next post,
